Ground-breaking research from University of Adelaide shows that sperm and ova appear to carry genetic memories of events occurring well before conception. This study has been published internationally and changes the way we review work of French biologist Lamarck and Charles Darwin’s evolutionary theory.
“There is now biological evidence that memories of experiences in adults can be transferred through egg and sperm for the lifetime prospects of the child” says Professor Sarah Robertson.
So any positive lifestyle changes by potential parents especially in the months leading to conception can have a real lasting benefit on their child’s future.
